About Elopements

Elopements are for the couples who want their wedding day to feel like the beginning of the story, not a production. No schedule stacked with strangers. No spreadsheet. Just a ceremony, a witness or two, and a place that already means something to you.
I photograph elopements all over the country: desert arches at sunrise, alpine lakes in the last good hour of light, forest clearings where the only guests are the trees. My coverage is unhurried and full-day. We'll plan it together so that nothing important gets missed and everything else gets to breathe.

The Experience
Elopements take a little planning, a lot of trust, and the willingness to let the day unfold. Here's how we do it together.
Tell me your story and the kind of day you've been picturing. We'll hop on a video call to dream out loud: landscape, season, mood, guests, vows. Everything is on the table.
I'll scout locations, pull permit paperwork, build a day-of timeline, and introduce you to any vendors you need. You handle the outfits and the rings. I'll handle most everything else.
I arrive before you do. I hold the flowers while you tie the boots. I cry a little during the vows and I have tissues for you too. I capture it all, the tender and the wild, from first light to last.
Sneak peeks within 48 hours. Full gallery of 400+ images within six weeks. Heirloom album and print credits available, for the photos you'll want to hold in your hands.

Absolutely. Planning is baked into every elopement package. I'll scout locations, handle permit applications, build the timeline, and introduce you to officiants and florists I trust in the region you've chosen.
Anywhere the couple is. I'm based in Nashville and take a small number of international and mountain-west elopements each year. Travel within a four-hour drive is included. Destinations beyond are priced transparently in a single flat fee.
We lean in. Some of my favorite images have happened in mist, in rain, in the kind of light that only shows up when the forecast goes sideways. I build a back-up location into every plan, but honestly, you're going to love the photos either way.
Elopement packages are designed for zero to ten guests. If you're hoping for more than ten, the intimate wedding package is a better fit and I'd love to plan that with you instead.
Yes, and I encourage it. I'm in good hiking shape, I carry my own gear, and I love a dress that can handle trail dust. We'll plan the hike carefully so you arrive calm and on time.
